Saved By An Angel

A doorbell rings twice.

I ignore it initially,

But it’s purpose becomes apparent,

As a towering figure shadows over my desk.

Natalia, let’s go.

A clear and sharp voice.

Eyes glowing gold and purple.

Shimmer outlining a body.

I drop everything where it is,

Follow the figure to the elevator,

Doors frozen,

Waiting for us to step inside.

As the elevator closes,

New buttons surface,

To floors,

I never knew existed.

There seems to be a mistake.

Our system placed you incorrectly.

I was sent here to recover you.

We think this section will be more appropriate.

The doors open.

Light engulfs me.

Escape.
