This is an amazing and informative book that makes running and racing accessible to fat and nontraditional runners. The overall tone is conversational and approachable, and the author’s voice is enjoyable, inviting, and uplifting. While some anecdotes felt a bit repetitive, the book is packed with useful, detailed information that can help guide anyone to race day. I took plenty of notes and would gladly re-read it when I need a refresher.
